Ingredients

  • 2 cups baking soda
  • Water
  • Food coloring
  • Sugar cones
  • Vinegar
  • Small scoop or dropper
  • Plastic bin or tray

Instructions

  • Mix baking soda with water until a soft dough forms.
  • Divide dough and color one portion green and the other orange.
  • Cut cone tips and pack with orange dough.
  • Spread green dough in the bin and place cones upright.
  • Use a scoop or dropper to add vinegar and watch the volcanoes erupt.

Notes

  • Add food coloring for extra visual impact.
  • Encourage kids to rebuild between eruptions.
  • Protect surfaces for easy cleanup.
